索罗斯带你走出金融危机一书中的基础就是以认知功能和参与功能,索罗斯认为由于两种功能不能独立于对方,所以有了自反性.
On the one hand people seek to understand the world in which they live. I call this the cognitive function. On the other, people seek to make an impact on the world and change it to their advantage. I used to call this the participating function, but now I consider it more appropriate to call it the manipulative function.* If the two functions were isolated from each other they could serve their purpose perfectly well: the participants’ understanding could qualify as knowledge, and their actions could have the desired results
两种主要参与的功能.
一是投资者寻求明白他们所处的世界.我称之为认知功能.
另一种是投资者寻求通过影响世界来改善他们所处的环境,我称这为参与功能.
但我认为更贴切的是称这为”操纵功能”,如果两个函数独立与对方,他们就能达到各自最好的状态:
投资者能完全通过知识来操作,他们的行动也会像预期那样.
